Miro is an online service that facilitates remote project management. A Mind Map is a diagram which represents ideas revolving around a key concept. This mind map evolved from student researchers' original visual mind maps, which were produced during the ODU Special Topics Studio Spring Course. The Blue Connections Mind Map visualizes the intricacies on the effects of Human Activity on the local waterways. This map is specifically designed to mirror shipping routes, it is highly suggested to zoom in to better read the map.

The Blue Connections Mind Map is simplified into seven colors for viewers' convenience. Green wording describes positive effects on the environment, while red describes negative effects; purple wording symbolizes visuals from the Mural. Each orange line symbolizes effects on the climate. For example, there is an orange line connecting "runoff" and "oyster beds". Blue lines symbolize industrial effects on waterways; for instance, "CLEAN Initiatives" connects to "sea level rise". Green lines contribute to the connections of recreational effects, for instance, "litter" is connected with "extreme tourism". Finally, dark red lines symbolize historical oppressive actions, as a continuum of contemporary practice.

This mind map was conducted by Julius Clark for the Aquatic Archive along with readings, a visual mind map, a book review for The Pedagogy of the Oppressed by Paulo Freire, and a synthesis of the research which was conducted by the Spring semester students.
